CRP and cytobacteriological study of sputum in cystic fibrosis

6 Jun 2022

Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive disease due to the mutation of the gene coding for the CFTR protein, and C-reactive protein (CRP) is a protein of the acute phase of inflammation. This poster, presented at the SelectScience® Virtual Microbiology and Infectious Disease Summit 2022, explores a patient case study to describe the interest in analyzing CRP as a marker of infection and carries out a cytobacteriological study of patient sputum.
