Culture and Assay Systems Utilized for Cancer Stem Cell Research

This review article discusses cancer stem cells and the culture systems for growing and studying these cells. Particular focus will be on the variety of extracellular matrix substrates used to analyze the growth properties and behavior of cancer stem cells, including both in vitro and in vivo models.
