Determination of Neonicotinoid Pesticide Residues in Honey Using Automated QuEChERS and Kinetex® Biphenyl Core-Shell Technology

This application note describes an automated QuEChERS extraction using the Teledyne Tekmar AutoMate-Q40 with LC/MS/MS analysis using a high-performance Kinetex 2.6 µm Biphenyl Core-Shell HPLC column. This method was applied to the detection of neonicotinoid pesticide residues. Neonicotinoids are a class of insecticides which have come under scrutiny due to their association with negative ecological effects.
