Expression of Mutant Proteins as Reagents for LC-MRM Assay Development and Internal Standards for Quantification

LC-MRM quantification of mutant proteins is an important and unique contribution to cancer biology. Presented in this scientific poster is the use of expression systems to make standard proteins for liquid chromatography-multiple reaction monitoring mass spectrometry (LC-MRM). Peptide synthesis and mutant protein expression has been explored to assist in assay development. In addition, proteins with multiple mutations were expressed for use as LC-MRM internal standards and as a comparison for quantification with peptide and protein standards.
