High Efficiency Production of LentiviralVectors in HEK 293FT Cells Using Plasmid Co-transfection: Calcium Phosphate vs. Lipopolyplex Transfection

4 Feb 2015

Lentiviral vectors are quickly becoming a vector of choice for many in vivo gene delivery and RNA interference applications. However, lentiviral vector production remains a time consuming and relatively low yield process. This study compares the efficiency of viral production using a standard calciumphosphate protocol versus a protocol using a high efficiency, low toxicity, lipopolyplex formulation (TransIT®-LT1Reagent).
