Homogenous, High-Throughput Assay to Measure Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor Activity

29 Jun 2017

Guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) positively regulate Rho GTPases by accelerating GDP dissociation, allowing formation of the active, GTP-bound complex. This poster presents a simple, generic biochemical assay for measuring GEF activity based on GDP dissociation, developed by BellBrook Labs. The increase in GDP production is determined using the Transcreener® GDP assay, which relies on selective fluorescence polarization (FP) based immunodetection of GDP.
