iCell Neurons - Assessing Neurite Outgrowth Using High Content Screening
15 Mar 2013iCell® Neurons are human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neurons that represent an optimal in vitro test system by recapitulating native human neuronal cell physiology and function. High content screening (HCS) technology can be used to monitor neuronal functions and behavior at the appropriate resolution. Neuronal networks of iCell Neurons are established in culture, and functional responses to compounds can be robustly assessed and quantified. In this application note from Cellular Dynamics International it is demonstrated that together, iCell Neurons and HCS technology provide a reliable, high-throughput platform for assessing the potential effects of compounds in the modulation of neurite outgrowth and regeneration.
