In vivo Bioluminescent Imaging for Non-Invasive Detection and Quantification of Mouse Tumours

9 Mar 2011

In this application note, new Bioware Ultra, light-producing, cell lines for oncology research, are used to measure tumor growth and metastasis in a variety of mouse models. In vivo, non-invasive, bioluminescent imaging of tumor growth and metastasis allows longitudinal evaluation of tumor development before, during and after treatment, offering an excellent preclinical strategy to assess tumor response and recurrence. Imaging technology is also used to detect micrometastases that would otherwise require histopathology to identify.
