Increasing Data Reliability and Laboratory Efficiency Testing of Fluoroquinolones in Fatty and Non-Fatty Fish Samples

1 Dec 2014

In this poster, a matrix of options was put through a series of experiments to identify the optimal consumables for today’s automation solutions. Using the Strata-XL-C SPE cartridges with the SmartPrep Extractor increased recovery and provided less variation for the full range of low fat and high fat fish sample testing. Using the Raptor Biphenyl HPLC column with the NexeraXR UHPLC system enabled low detection limits, improved peak shape, and reduced overall run time with 1/10 the injection volume. The optimized method meets the specified FDA criteria for linearity (>0.995), % recovery ( >60%), and %RSD (20%).
