Localization of Subcutaneous, Intraperitoneal, and Satellite Tumors Utilizing an Animal Rotation Device in a Multimodal Imaging System

2 Feb 2011

This application note by Carestream Molecular Imaging demonstrates the utility of an animal rotation device for improving visualisation and quantitation of fluorescently labelled tumours with non-invasive in vivo imaging. Data collection at multiple angles, allows the optimal position for visualisation to be determined. The system is also analysed for its ability to facilitate detection of low-level tumours which may otherwise go undetected at standard imaging positions.
