MassARRAY® System for Somatic Mutation Screening

26 Oct 2011

Assaying samples for somatic mutations requires detection of mutations in functional amounts. The most common form of DNA sample assayed for somatic mutations is DNA derived from a mixture of tumor tissue and healthy tissue. Using certain guidelines for assay design, provides a better understanding of how to generate primer sequences for somatic mutations. The application note highlights that the design of an assay can be used to validate information obtained from sequencing and/or previous publications.
