Modeling Angiogenesis in vitro: Comparing Two Human Co-Culture Approaches

Modeling Angiogenesis in vitro: Comparing Two Human Co-Culture Approaches

24 Feb 2016

This application note from Essen Bioscience looks at different models for studying mechanisms involved in angiogenesis. One model uses co-cultures of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) with normal human dermal fibroblasts (NHDF) and the other uses co-cultures of endothelial colony forming cells (ECFC) with adipose-derived stromal cells (ADSC). These models are used to better understand pro and anti-angiogenic factors.
