Monitoring Differential Expression in Stem Cells

Stem cell differentiation is routinely monitored by measuring gene expression using real-time reverse transcription PCR (rt-PCR). This study examines the novel real-time PCR Plexor®Differential Expression System, which has been optimized to quantitatively amplify a two-color duplex, allowing the user to amplify a transcript of interest as well as a reference transcript in a single reaction.
