Monitoring Total Organic Carbon (TOC) in Effluent for Efficient Anaerobic Conversion to Biogas
26 May 2016This application note compares the methods for quantifying the amount of organics present in wastewater: Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), or Total Organic Carbon (TOC). Untreated wastewater released into the environment can have a devastating effect on the environment, the amount of organics present affects which treatment would be most effective to reduce the risk of pollution from effluent.
