New Method Filters for Improved MSn Acquisition for Small Molecule and Proteomics Workflows

For structural elucidation on sophisticated spectrometers, small molecule workflows often collect highly information-rich scan types. However, there is usually a price paid in terms of the spectral acquisition rate and sensitivity when employing methods that delve to very high MSⁿ orders. This application note describes the filtering capabilities of the new Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ method editor software, Acquire X, designed to generate more informative MS/MS and higher order MSⁿ data.
