Three Assays in One Well: Antimalarial Compound Library Screening Using the FLUOstar Omega

24 Mar 2014

Metalloaminopeptidases M1, M17 and M18 are attractive new targets for malaria. Agents that inhibit their activity have the potential to be novel antimalarial drugs. With the help of the FLUOstar Omega multimode microplate reader it was possible to develop a robust screening assay to determine active inhibitors by utilizing the instrument to read absorbance and fluorescence over time.
