Ultra Low Sulphur Analysis in Liquid Petroleum Products Using Monochromatic Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (MWD XRF)
9 Jun 2016This application note discusses discuss the benefits of the WD XRF technology and the improvements made using doubly curved crystals. The use of two doubly curved crystals is the cornerstone of monochromatic wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (MWD XRF). MWD XRF technology allows for improved reproducibility and a greater signal-to-background (S/B) ratio over traditional WDXRF, enabling refiners to better control their sulphur-removal processes and hold sulphur levels in finished product to tighter limits.
