A future without effective antibiotics

Antibiotics have become the mainstay for fighting bacterial infections in modern medicine. However, the increased use of antimicrobials means an increased risk of resistance in viruses, fungi, and bacteria. To ensure that antimicrobials are used appropriately, antimicrobial stewardship programs are on the rise. In this video, Aaron Rohrer, manager of value-based healthcare at bioMérieux, discusses the escalating global threat of antimicrobial resistance and the importance of antimicrobial stewardship.

This talk was presented at the SelectScience® Virtual Clinical Lab Summit 2023.
