Capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry: The key to unsolved insights into RNA characterization?
3 Aug 2022In this video, Dr. Dan Fabris, Harold S. Schwenk Sr. Distinguished Chair in Chemistry at the University of Connecticut, discusses his work developing technologies for the detection and characterization of RNA. A particular focus of Fabris is investigating the role of RNA modifications in the relationship between drugs of abuse and HIV. Fabris also describes how he’s working with 908 Devices to push boundaries within the field with capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry (CE-MS). This technology holds the potential for powerful insights into the RNA world, to discover novel targets for therapeutics but also for use as therapeutic itself.
