Characterizing GPCR Protein Ligands using NanoBRET
9 Nov 2017
Prof. Steve Hill, Professor of Molecular Pharmacology, University of Nottingham, describes his research on the ligand binding of cell surface GPCR and RTK proteins. By attaching the bright luminescent protein, NanoLuc, to a GPCR or an RTK such as VEGFR2 that is implicated in cancer, Hill’s lab uses NanoBRET to monitor how drugs bind to these cell surface receptors in real time.
