Ed George, from the Environmental and Food Safety Group, Thermo Fisher Scientific, gives a presentation which introduces suspect and unknown screening and discusses its application to veterinary medicines. In the presentation, Ed George defines ‘unknown’ and ‘suspect’ screening and describes the veterinary drug mass spectral library, which is being created by Thermo Fisher Scientific. He goes onto explain how software, such as Thermo Scientific™ TraceFinder™ Software and Thermo Scientific™ Compound Discoverer™ small molecule identification software, can be utilized in a unknown or suspect screening workflow.
