Mass spectrometry discovers new contaminants in drinking water

In this video, Prof. Susan Richardson, University of South Carolina, discusses her research analyzing a brand-new class of disinfection byproducts that have been discovered in drinking water using gas chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry. Prof. Richardson also discusses the benefits of mass spectrometry for environmental analysis and what she envisions for the future of drinking water analysis.
