New research to prevent false positive test results in cannabis screening assays

In this video, Grace Kroner, clinical chemistry fellow at ARUP Laboratores and University of Utah, discusses her research on interferences and cross-reactivities in a urine drug-screening assay for marajuana, as presented at AACC 2019. The nature of screening assays means that they will pick up more than just the target compound and, as a result, Kroner highlights the importance of confirmatory testing to shed light on any cross-reactivities or interferences that may be of concern.
