Dr Paulo Amaral, a Brazilian scientist currently working at the University of Cambridge, discusses his research on the role of non-coding DNA. His research aims to better understand the role of RNAs in gene regulation, for relevance in organism development, evolution and human disease. Dr Amaral shares his views on science in Brazil and how scientists are working abroad in order to bring knowledge and collaborators back to Brazil.
