The influence of NGS on the COVID-19 pandemic

In this presentation, presented at the SelectScience^® Virtual Clinical Science Summit 2021, Fraser highlights the use of NGS and genomic surveillance as important tools for monitoring and controlling infectious disease outbreaks. Fraser discusses how NGS can be used to identify SARS-CoV-2 variants of interest (VOI) and variants of concern (VOC), and how they are used in genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 and contact tracing. This information can then be used for better predicting immune response and the efficiency of vaccines.
