6 Dec 2007

Record orders have spurred Syrris, leading chemistry automation product innovator, to further expand its sales and support team and extend its global outreach with new distributors across, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Syrris has announced the appointment of three sales and customer support personnel and a further six distributors to support the rapidly growing interest in its new modular flow chemistry (FRX) and synthesis (Atlas) systems. Suitable for a range of applications, Atlas has attracted the attention of many chemists worldwide and in just one year, has grown to become Syrris’s leading product.

Since their launch in 2006, the FRX and Atlas systems have gone from strength to strength. With systems installed in major pharma companies and academic institutions across Europe, Asia and the US, Syrris has embarked on a series of recruitment initiatives to meet the needs of new and existing markets. Syrris’ US-based Commercial Director, Richard Gray said “Following such a good year, in fact a record year for Syrris, we are of course very pleased. However, we are also keen to maintain our high level of customer service for which we are well known, and want to expand our offering to meet the needs of new customers in emerging markets and more distant locations. The strategic decision to expand our team and recruit new distributors will allow us to make the most of the new opportunities arising and will compliment our existing set-up”.

The new recruits will provide extra sales and support for customers throughout the South, South East and Mid West USA, the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Benelux, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Scandinavia. Additionally, with a growing number of enquiries from organisations further a field, Syrris has appointed distributors to cover China (Hongkong Universal Analytical & Testing Instruments Ltd), Israel (QC-Tech Ltd), Korea (UNa Trading), New Zealand (John Morris Scientific), Singapore (Insta BioAnalytik Pte Ltd), and Thailand (Sithiporn Associates Co., Ltd.). Syrris is also currently looking to further expand its UK-based team with a marketing assistant/executive.

This news follows the recent launch of a series of additions to the Atlas family of modular synthesis products, including the Atlas Dry Baths and Orbit parallel reaction station. For more information on all systems available from Syrris please visit the article webpage.
