The importance of sharing

Every two months, SelectScience holds a drawing which gives every reviewer over that period the chance to win a $400 (or equivalent currency) Amazon.co.uk Gift Card or iPad.

The latest winner was Dr. Grace Mak, Senior Scientific Officer with the Institute of Cancer Research, London, for her review of SARSTEDT AG & Co. KG’s tissue culture flasks. Grace is one of our Advanced Reviewers, having written nearly 10 lab product reviews for SelectScience, and we are delighted to have had a chance to recognize her desire to helping scientists make informed decisions.

As a scientist, it is really important to share our views on the products we use so as to help each other in the field. SelectScience provides us this platform!

The previous winner of a $400 gift card was Evan Moore, Research Associate at Battelle Memorial Institute, for his review of the BioTek Instruments, Inc. 405™ TS Microplate Washer. It was Evan’s first published review, but he is a regular user of SelectScience.

I use SelectScience because they can consolidate and present to me information relevant to my field that I might not have found on my own.

Coffee, baseball, tote bags & more

Winning large prizes is great, but we want to reward as many people as possible. We also know that coffee powers laboratories just as much as electricity. With that in mind, we recently sent 50 $5 Starbucks gift cards to scientists who had left a review, as well as 35 exclusive SelectScience tote bags. Earlier this summer, we also offered a prize of a baseball jersey to kick off the baseball season in style.

We regularly run different competitions and prize draws to thank our reviewers and members for giving their time and insight. To receive these sent to your inbox, along with the latest in science news and technology, sign up for free to become a SelectScience member.

One Kennedy Space Center scientist even won flights to Pittcon!

For your chance to win on our next big prize drawing, write a review today for a product you have used!
