Symyx Technologies, Inc. today announced the availability of Symyx Registration 1.5. This major new release offers R&D organizations of all sizes a flexible, fully featured, Isentris-based approach to building and managing consistent, searchable, and shareable corporate compound registries based on Symyx’s industry-leading chemical representation technology. Out-of-the-box integration with Symyx Assay Explorer® biology data management software enables researchers to view chemically registered substances alongside biological assay results, facilitating SAR analysis and the prioritization of new compounds for testing.

"For more than 20 years, Symyx has been the industry leader in compound registration including chemical structure representation, storage, and searching," said Trevor Heritage, president of Symyx Software. “We have worked with customers to provide a flexible compound registration system that R&D organizations can plug into existing or new custom applications, including compound procurement and electronic laboratory notebook software, to consistently and centrally capture chemical information. Such integrated scientific management systems enable scientists to design, execute, analyze and report experimental data faster, easier and less expensively.”

Built on the Symyx Isentris® informatics system, Symyx Registration 1.5 automatically verifies drawing conventions, normalizes structure data in accordance with corporate representation rules, and checks for uniqueness before assigning corporate identification numbers and storing submitted substances in the corporate compound registry.

By superseding and replacing ISIS-based Symyx ChemBio AE software, Symyx Registration 1.5 supports ISIS-to-Isentris migrations while enabling scientists to register chemical compounds, view biological data, and compare chemical and biological data side-by-side entirely in the Isentris environment.

Symyx Registration 1.5 is available now. For more information, visit the Symyx company website.
