Mechanical characterization, imaging, lithography etc.
AFM 5500 is a very nice instrument for imaging and many other purposes. It has EFM, MFM, PFM, etc. modes which are required by many groups. The small area scanner can give a very high resolution. Lithography and manipulation modes add extra value to the system.

Nanotechnology
The microscopes aren't the best value for visualizing the tip and we have had some problems with our AFM tips. However the software is easy to use and technical support is always available when needed.
