Abbott Alinity ci is a very user friendly analyzer which provides quality results. We did detailed verification studies at this analyzer which was within allowable range. We are using CAP proficiency testing, there is sufficient Peer group and results are accurate and reliable.

Chemistry analyzer
The instrument has several features that are a step up from the Architects. Calibrations are installed much more efficiently. Has the capability of onboard storage. Reagent load is on demand. Instrument isn't as robust as the Architect. RSM transport arm needs a complete redesign. The instrument is not adequate for a high output hospital. Stays down from more than it runs.

Abbott learned a lot from their mistakes with the Architect ci analyzers. While they did not change much with their reagent ingredients, they did change the analyzer to have a better interface and to make mistakes less likely. You can now share reagents on multiple analyzers, maint is shorter, they utilize barcodes more instead of manually putting them in, onboard QC, and have better service options.
