Cell culture and analysis in biology research

I am currently working with fibroblasts for my thesis, and since my research primarily relies on an immortalized cell line, I have found that cell density is a particularly critical factor. Before using the EVE Cell Counter, I relied solely on a hemocytometer for cell counting. While the hemocytometer is a conventional method, it is not always as accurate as needed. Given that unintended variations in cell density can lead to inconsistent experimental results, having a reliable cell-counting device has been incredibly helpful. This device, designed by Windows operating systems, is straightforward and user-friendly, making it easy to integrate into daily lab work without any hassle. I believe the intuitive interface is one of its greatest strengths. Additionally, its accuracy is outstanding. I compared cell counts obtained from this device with those from a hemocytometer and found that the EVE Cell Counter provided precise and consistent results. Based on this, I believe it could also be useful for assessing cell proliferation by tracking cell numbers over time. Another key advantage is its compact and well-designed structure. Research environments are often cluttered with equipment, so having a small, pebble-like device is a significant convenience. However, one minor concern I noticed is that the sample sometimes appears to come into contact with the upper part of the insertion slot. When removing the chip, I observed that the sample had slightly spread, likely due to droplet formation in the half-moon-shaped loading area. While this does not seem to affect performance significantly, it might be something to consider for future improvements. Overall, this device has made cell counting much more convenient and reliable for my research. I am extremely satisfied with its performance and ease of use.

User friendly and rapid results, can be improved in terms of limited functionality and maintenance costs

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

For monitoring of filtered blood products

Pros: User friendly; easy for personnel to operate as it only needs minimal training. Fast results; help minimize time to use in case of a lot samples need to be analysed. Automated device; less human error and more efficient in testing. Cons: Less accurate; correlation with a gold standard analyser seems to have rather significant margin of bias for the analyser. Costly; expensive to install and eventually will need extra cost for maintainance and calibrating. Limited usage; only can measure residual white blood, not suitable or cost effective for another tests concurrently.

To measure the value of leucodepleted sample

Been using Adam rRWBC Leucodepleted for some time and it is one of best machines I have ever tried. It simplifies work by giving accurate values while reduces time and wastages in preparing. Its innovation is well established by using kits and obtaining results within 2 minutes instead of dragging time to prepare and run the samples using other machines. Adam is also able to reduce the number of personnel in using this which means the procedure can be run even by one person. The systems are very straight forward and easy to access so easy for the user to understand and very easy to handle. Using Adam is literally less hassle & saves time while providing accurate values which is reliable to use in medical settings. Its compact feature and less equipment make Adam to be used in any laboratory by saving space and easy to carry or change place as it is light-weight. The preparation of samples takes very little time and also uses very minimal sample in which it is able to minimize waste. The kit comes with a full set of calibration, reagent and kit which is accessible to carry anywhere. Adam is literally a time saver procedure which its innovation & advanced system makes it a must-use product in every clinical setting.

One of the best cell counters we have tried so far

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Part of the mammalian cell lab. Indispensable for the majority of experiments.

This is a crucial part of the mammalian cell lab and is essential for most experiments. I appreciate the ability to view cells and make manual adjustments. This feature has allowed us to set the average cell size at the beginning of our lab work, and so far, we have achieved excellent results with minimal deviations from manual cell counting.
