Efficacy testing in Oncology
This product provides spheroids ready to go (they sell in 96 and 384 well format, multiple spheroid, and single spheroid per well) and frozen storable, so when I need to do an assay just take a plate out of the freezer, add medium and incubate, there I have spheroids ready to go. They even manufacture per my specifications as an option. Never seen anything like this.

The Cell2Sphere™ product kit includes three elements:
- A standard 96 well plastic plate that can be directly used in existing drug screening platforms.
- CSC enriched single cells in each well, the laboratory can add any compounds to be analyzed to the well.
- A proprietary culture medium.
The mixture indicates the efficacy of the compound against spheroid growth, while letting researchers determine spheroid formation on existing imaging platforms. It is also possible to test for health of 3D spheroids using conventional viability assays (such as Cell-Titter Glow® from Promega or MTS® viability assay from Sigma).
