It works well

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Hematology

The instrument works well. The QC is wonky though as level 1 mean is something like 7mm/hr but we consistently get a return of 1 or 2. When looking for a SedRate analyzer we were attracted to the analysis time and the cost. We did not realize that the printer, the scanner and the transponder were an additional cost. After sale correspondence is excellent and they were able to satisfy our pathologists concern with level 1 expected result versus actual. Like the fact you can use the EDTA tube, however we've had a few problems with some short draws

I think Streck is the only supplier of controls for the mini cube

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Hematology

The product works well. It's a bit of a hassle allowing it to warm, vortex, and the special way of mixing. The only thing that has been a problem is on the mini cube level one is supposed to be 7mm/hr but it almost always runs around 1mm/hr. Our pathologist had a literal fit when she looked at it. A nice lady at Streck did provide us with an e-mail stating some facts and our pathologist backed off.

Clinical laboratory

The instrument is very easy to use. There is no maintenance required. It has recently been upgraded to run microtainers and raised bottom microtainers. The results are reproducible and the time to final result is only 20 minutes. It is a walk away process. The only improvement I would like to see is that the instrument is able to function at full tube capacity. It errors out when the tube is filled to the line of the tube. The tech has to always take off about a centimeter or two of blood for it to work.
