DNA PrepMate™ II uses an optimal binding buffer and silica matrix to effectively isolate DNA from bacterial cells, PCR products, gel fragments and enzymatic reaction mixtures. Examples include the purification of DNA fragments or plasmid DNA from low-melting, TAE and TBE agarose gel, high salt solutions, and lysed bacterial cells (using alkaline lysis). DNA preparation is accomplished quickly and efficiently. The size range for effective purification is 40 bp – 50 kb. Elution volume is as little as 20 μl when concentrated product is needed. High-purity DNA fragments are eluted with PrepMate E Buffer (10 mM Tris-Cl, pH 8.5) or distilled water. Purified DNA fragments can be directly used in cloning, sequencing and other molecular biological applications.
