Stabilizing solution for sample storage
DNA/RNA Shield has been a great addition to our lab. We are able to use it for transcriptome, microbiome, and resistome work. It is easy to use- does not foam up like other similar products, so you get more product for your money with no waste. The price is economical, and comparable to other methods we have used in the past. Beyond that, the sales team was incredibly helpful and eager to explain multiple ways in which this product could be used. We stored some unique samples in it, and the team was happy to walk me through possible solutions.

Between the ability to store samples and possess stable nucleic acids for weeks in room temperature and the incredible price, this product is a no brainer! Cheaper than many competitors and lyses your samples while in storage, the ease of storage to extraction (done in the same liquid) is why I will keep buying this.

This is an amazing product for shipping cells to a different state
Inactivate Bacillus anthracis cells (for transport) and extract high quality gDNA
I needed to send cell pellets of B. anthracis to a different state for a specific type of sequencing. I used DNA/RNA Shield to 1) inactivate the cells (I tested this product by myself as no data was available regarding to inactivation of B. anthracis cells), 2) avoid the used of dry ice for shipping and 3) maintaining the quality and integrity of genomic material.

Perfect for remote fieldwork
Preserve fecal samples
This product is a before and after. Although absolute alcohol is good for preserving DNA, it's not field-work friendly like this product. There are fieldwork conditions in which you can not get ice or electricity to keep the samples. This product solves that.

Sample Collection Kits and Devices
The reagent is extremely effective at stabilizing a solution for nucleic acids in any type of biological sample. It is great at preserving the genetic makeup of a sample and ridding it of infectious agents of any kind. The best part is, it works at any temperature. It doesn't have to be refrigerated!!! It is easy to use. You simply add it to the sample and like I said, you can store it literally anywhere and it will be completely fine. It is really worth the money.

Overall, RNA Shield purification kit is an option for quick and easy application.
RNA purification
The kit is very easy to use for total RNA purification. RNA Shield could be used as sample preservation solution. However, the yield of RNA is not impressive compared to other commercially available RNA purification kits. so if you don't really care about the yield, this kit is an option for you. the price of this kit is reasonable.
