The DremPrep is a versatile platform with a large deck capacity along with an integrated Thermocycler and Plate Reader. We have run the 9 Step 'Post Amp' Day2 part of the Trio RNA Seq protocol on 20x96wp (1920 samples). The process takes ~5hr per run and was previously carried out on a 'semi-automated' platform that required user intervention at each stage to load reagents/tips to a liquid handler and transfer reaction plates to/from a thermocycler. With the Dreamprep all reagents/plates/tips are loaded at the start (<1hr setup time) and the prep is run 'hands free'. We have not used the integrated Plate Reader, but intend to set up a protocol for Library quantification, normalization and pooling to save more user time.
