The EmeraldAmp MAX PCR Master Mix ensures PCR specificity and includes an optimized buffer, PCR enzyme, dNTP mixture, gel loading dye (green) and a density reagent in a convenient 2X premix format.

Only primer and DNA template need to be added to initiate the reaction. This premix can be used for routine PCR applications as well as those requiring PCR specificity. Completed reactions are capable of being analyzed directly via gel electrophoresis. This product can amplify targets up to ~10kb (genomic DNA) and works well with AT- or GC-rich templates. Due to its ability to increase PCR specificity, EmeraldAmp MAX PCR Master Mix yields at least 10X more end product compared with standard PCR and performs better than products using standard Taq DNA polymerase.

The EmeraldAmp Max PCR Master Mix offers a powerful, flexible and convenient option for high yield, simple and specific PCR.

If 5 µL of the reaction mixture is used for electrophoresis with 1% Agarose L03, the blue dye marker is detected at 3-5 kb and the yellow dye marker is detected below 50 bp. The dyes exhibit absorbances at 260nm and 420nm, respectively; it is recommended that they be removed from the gel prior to conducting any downstream fluorescent applications. Dyes can be removed by direct cutting or DNA extraction.

Features:

  • PCR specificity: Optimized buffer ensures better performance.
  • High yield: At least 10X more end product.
  • Long PCR: Amplify targets up to 10 kb in length.
  • Convenience: Simply add template, primers and water to the 2X master mix.
  • Simplicity: Load reactions directly onto gel. Use in TA cloning or direct sequencing without purification.
  • Ease-of-use: Emerald green loading dye tracks migration during electrophoresis.
  • Downstream application capable: Perform restriction digests directly in the PCR buffer.

Applications:

  • Direct gel electrophoresis, TA cloning or sequencing
  • Long PCR
