Overall, it's a well-designed, multipurpose system that takes care of just about all imaging needs: DNA gels, protein gels, stained with variety of common and exotic dyes, Western blots detected with colorimetric, fluorescent or chemiluminescent techniques. The only reason it gets "4" for the ease of use is that some necessary and convenient shortcuts or buttons are missing from the software interface, and users cannot customize a toolbar.
