iKon-M USB X-Ray

Andor’s iKon-M X-Ray CCD Cameras are designed to offer high-performance solutions to your direct detection X-ray needs, and come in two variants: DO and DY. The DO variant interfaces easily with vacuum chambers, whereas the DY variant is a ‘stand-alone’ camera with beryllium input window. Application Area:

X-ray coherent diffractive imaging

I bought this demo-camera with a limited budget, after my X-ray PI camera went down just after one laser shot. Plug and play, easy to use. Air cooled only down to -70 C, add water cooling down to -100C (really love it!).

The systems offer very low read noise floor, high QE across the X-ray, XUV and EUV range, and boast negligible dark current with thermoelectric cooling to as low as -100ºC. The 1024 x 1024 array with 13 μm square pixels provides both high resolution and high dynamic range. iKon-M combines kHz readout for lowest noise floor and multi-MHz readout for faster frame rates, all through a convenient USB 2.0 interface.
