Easy and convenient protein stain
SimplyBlue SafeStain is a convenient protein stain without the requirement of using any solvents. A sensitive staining is obtained within one hour and destaining is performed in water only. In order to conserve the staining pattern, sodium chloride is added. The stained bands are fully mass spectrometry compatible.

SimplyBlue SafeStain is completely non-hazardous and does not require methanol or acetic acid fixatives or destains. The SimplyBlue SafeStain protocol is easy to perform and can be completed in less than 3 hours. For added speed, a simple microwave procedure can be completed in 12 minutes. One microgram of protein can be detected after just 5 minutes in the stain. With additional water-based destaining, as little as 7 ng of protein (reduced BSA) can be detected.
