I run IsoFlow Sheath Fluid in the majority of the flow cytometry analysers and all my cell sorters.
I find that IsoFlow Sheath Fluid is far superior to 'home-made' PBS. Not only in its application, but also its sterility and ease of use. I have been running IsoFlow in a variety of BD and Beckman Coulter analysers and sorters for nearly a decade. In that time, I have had no instances of sheath line contamination.
