Innova Biosciences, based on the Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge UK, has launched a family of assay reagents called PiColorLock™, to facilitate the measurement of the activity of phosphatases, ATPases and other Pi-generating enzymes in microplates.
Unlike the traditional "Malachite Green" method, which is prone to precipitation problems, PiColorLock reagent is specially formulated to give a stable end-point signal, meaning that the researcher can stack plates for later counting - especially useful with HTS. The reagent is supplied in several formulations to accommodate frequently encountered assay conditions. Complete assay kits are also available, supplied with or without targets. Innova can also carry out confidential in-house assay development work if required.
