As long as everything is in good operation, the application is top-notch. Simple and easy. It only needs to be topped up with water (distilled water) and it produces the purest hydrogen. Hydrogen generation for GC-FID
The unit is very easy to operate requiring only water and electricity. I like the built-in safety devices in the unit as well as the fact that we don't have to house and move hydrogen cylinders. When the unit is turned on, it quickly produces the gas.

Used to produce hydrogen for a GC instrument.
This instrument works great, has a small footprint, and is easy to keep clean. Easy to attach two GC instruments to the generator with no performance issues. All of the fittings are easily accessible for disconnecting and reconnecting, and maintenance is a breeze. A separate jug allows you to keep the instrument hydrated without any interruption in the use. PEAK sales and service are readily available and very responsive to any questions which is great for labs that are running 24/7. Overall, no issues with this instrument, and after sales service and response have been what was promised.

The generator is good, but we've had to replace the cell twice. The service personnel are good, but the ones who do the scheduling were not good on our second cell replacement.

Environmental forensics
We have a full set of generators: N2, Air, H2, Compressor and are using them since 3 years. At the beginning after the installation, everything was fine. After around six month, some problems appeared with some of the modules and these are described in a separate review. This is about the H2-Generator, which was running fine so far, until we tried to supply a second instrument with it. The demanded total flows where well below the 250cc at 80 psi, which this device should provide as advertised. It took us a while to figure out that the generator has problems with this flow on higher pressure. This should not happen after three months after the preventive maintenance visit of a FSE. Instead of seeing this as a service and quality issue as this device is clearly not operational within expected parameters, we get billed with call out fees and spare parts, which is on top of the down time of the supplied instruments a very ugly thing to swallow.
