Identification and characterisation of new subunits of membrane protein complexes
As part of my research, we realized that we had so many protein structures with unknown densities, we needed a tool to directly sequence them. The rapifleX was not even on the market at this point, so we went to Bruker Daltonic HQ in Bremen and looked at a couple of spectra and from then on, I knew I wanted the rapifleX. I realised that for many of the brain research questions we wanted to address, MALDI imaging would also be an interesting addition to the portfolio.
