Protein crystallization
Rock Imager is an indispensable instrument for protein crystallization studies. You load the crystallization plate into the Rock Imager and it automatically records and stores pictures of the crystals on a schedule. The plate has its own barcode and can be analyzed at any time. This is very cost effective and a time saver. We highly recommend it. I would like to have another Rock Imager in my lab.

Protein crystallization
This instrument is a nice tool for imaging and housing plates. The software needs major improvements especially in the scoring system when hits are supposedly found.

My favourite feature of the Rock Imager is the after sales support. Formulatrix take product support very seriously and have implemented many new software features based on customer feedback. This is also a fantastic labour-saving plate imaging robot. With a little training, it's easy to use, and the implementation of new features means it's even easier to use now than when we first had this in the lab. The Rock Imager is essential to our production of high quality, high resolution structural data.
