Discovery of hidden structural variants
The Sequel system is the only NGS system available for finding new non-single nucleotide variants. The ability to obtain high quality read lengths of 10Kb plus is really possible. That fact alone provides me so much more confidence in the final assembled product compared to if I had only short-reads of 150bp to assemble a genome. I definitely recommend the Sequel from PacBio!
