Molecular strep complete
Solana present the college health field with the option for reporting group A/C/G results within a 45 minute total TAT! This ability has given providers the opportunity to out pace traditional culture results and has led to antibiotic stewardship since RX are not given and then discontinued when the results are negative. This rapid, definitive diagnosis has opened up the potential to also screen for mono if results are negative and identified cases that may have been awaiting strep culture results before mono testing was even pursued due to lack of improvement.
