StarBright™ Blue 520 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, 80 µl
Pkg of 1, lyophilized goat anti-rabbit IgG conjugated with StarBright Blue 520 Fluorophore; reconstitute to 80 µl
Use StarBright Blue 520 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG for ultra-sensitive detection of proteins by fluorescence western blotting. This secondary antibody is ideal for use in multiplex blotting, eliminating the need for stripping and reprobing, or cutting blots. StarBright Blue 520 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG is optimized for use with the ChemiDoc™ MP Imaging System, permitting detection of up to three proteins in a single blot.
The StarBright Fluorophore is composed of multiple monomers that each absorb and emit light, giving a manifold brighter image than other green emission fluorophores like the Alexa Fluor 488 or the DyLight 488. StarBright Blue 520 has an Exmax of 440 nm and Emmax at 520 nm.
Features and Benefits
- Easy multiplexing – can be used with other common fluorophores or with StarBright Blue 700 Fluorescent Secondary Antibodies to detect multiple proteins on the same blot
- Shorter exposure time – the exceptional brightness of the StarBright Fluorophore leads to exposure times that are orders of magnitude lower than traditional fluorescent dyes: seconds vs. minutes
- High signal-to-noise ratio – StarBright 520 Fluorescent Secondary Antibodies offer a highly sensitive western blot detection method using the green channel, typically not used for western blotting due to the high background from Alexa Fluor or DyLight Fluorophores
- Low nonspecific binding – conjugated to highly cross-adsorbed antibodies
Note: StarBright Antibodies are not suitable for stripping and reprobing.
