The TLB4000's large work area, combined with its built-in 20 watt illumination, make it an economical and versatile choice for the crowded lab environment.

The 6 volt, 20 watt power supply is continuously variable from 3 to 6 volts. It powers a high efficiency Osram Xenophot halogen lamp with a light output of 480 lumens (39 candle power). The high efficiency optical design ensures this light is delivered to your specimen.

The illumination is easily adjustable between full field of view and condensed illumination for high magnification observation. The direction of illumination is adjustable via a tilting and front to back movable mirror. This allows for variable illumination from brightfield to darkfield, making the observation of low contrast specimens easy. Also included are a drop-in ground glass for increased NA at high magnification and an opal glass for low magnification ultra-uniform illumination. Epi-illumination can be provided with the addition of the optional Volpi fiber optic illuminator.

These stands support most microscope models making them a perfect replacement for inexpensive original equipment bases or as a base for orphaned stereo microscope heads. The TLB4000 base can be purchased by it self, with a Volpi fiber optic illuminator, or as a full imaging system including SPOT camera, software and TLB base; Zeiss stereo microscope; and Volpi fiber optic illuminator.
