I stop using Trypsin and switch to TrypLE Express to all adherence cell lines.
Tissue Culture
Instead of using Trypsin to detach adherence cells, use TrypLE Express. It is very gentle and can be used for both serum containing and serum free conditions.

Gibco TrypLE Select (10X) reagent can be used at full strength to quickly and gently dissociate strongly adherent cell types. TrypLE Select (10X) reagent is also manufactured on dedicated animal origin–free equipment.
